No Cancer!!!

Ahhh, it feels so overwhelmingly good to say that!  We received wonderful news today that Benjamin's tumor turned out to be benign.  The doctor was especially pleased with how well the "wound" has healed.  Our first peak at it was today when the brace and bandaging came off.  It's an astonishing four inches or so long and in the nice shape of a Y.  We're now trying to come up with what the Y should stand for.  Any ideas?!

No more brace!!

Benjamin is still walking around a bit stiff-legged, favoring his right leg.  It's not hurting, but just feels "weird" to bend it much.  He's supposed to stay away from PE type activities for another month and then we'll go back for another wound check.

When we got home, Benjamin was trying out getting his own shoes on, climbing up and down the stairs (very carefully!) and he is currently enjoying his first shower in over two weeks.  Woo hoo!

Thank you again so very much for all of your concern and prayers.  We are still so humbled by the expressions of concern and the prayers that have been uplifted on behalf of Benjamin and our family.  Our God answered these prayers and we give Him all the glory!

He's just out and said, "That was the best shower ever!"

Or maybe 'Y' is 'Why?'
And the answer: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
but the LORD delivers him out of them all." Ps. 34:19

Praising Our Great Healer for protection over our Benjamin!

First time I have stopped by your blog...saw it as a link on "A Place called Simplicity". I think it should stand for Yahweh! A reminder of Who it is that is in control of all things. And the one who is with your son...no matter the cirucumstance. Your son always has the reminder, since it's on his leg...that he is always supported and lifted up by the Lord! Just my 2 cents worth!

What does "Y" represent? I thought of one of Linny's favorite sayings: "Yippee Jesus!"
