We headed out by 7:30 in the morning and made one last stop at Dutch Bros. for our favorite coffee. It was a beautifully clear sunny day and we kept looking back to get one last glimpse of Pike's Peak. You could easily see it towering over the landscape for at least 60 miles out. Nice!
The road home seemed longer than going, partly due to the time change and daylight. We did get much better gas mileage returning than going, too.
So from the mountains to mountains of laundry, we're thankful to be safely home. We have more memories tucked away and are looking forward to the next trip!
