Day 13 - Road Trip - Tahoe City Beach

The fun continues, as does the wonderful sunshine, and the clear blue sky.  Jeremy and Jonathan and I cooked up eggs to order, bacon, and toast for breakfast this morning.  It's no small task feeding twenty mouths, but we're getting better at it.

While Dad, Jeremy and Jonathan hit the river for some fishing, the rest of us visited the beach for a while, then the heated swimming pool.  Even during the summer, the water temperature at the lake is super cold.  After all, it's melted snow!  The kids played for a while, but with the wind it was a bit too cold, so we headed to the pool.  All was well until the mandatory 10 minute break out of the pool for the kids.  That's when they started to freeze.  The younger kiddos came back to the house to play while the big kids stayed to splash around with Uncle Chad and Uncle Chris.

We grilled for supper tonight, had the Clark traditional tapioca pudding, and the kids went on a moose and bear count in our rental.  Grandma put together the game and is offering prizes.  :)

What a treat to have all of these cousins together.  They're getting along well and having a blast.

No such luck fishing :(

The kids have been building forts in the yard.

What this gathering is all about, the anniversary couple....50 years!
