Day 4 - Road Trip - Montana/4th of July

Today was mostly driving, along with a bit of birthday celebration.  It was great to start seeing snow-capped mountains as we got closer and closer to our destination of Glacier National Park.

Morning birthday breakfast at the campground.  We were up early, so the kids and Chris sang a hushed "Happy Birthday" to me.

Games and books

 And sleeping

Lots of open road....and bugs on the windshield.

Starting to get into the land of coffee shops....didn't stop at this unusual shop, though.

We found a yummy local cafe for birthday dinner.  It was absolutely delicious!

The cafe was even serving up 4th of July cake, complete with a candle on top.  We were so full from the great meal that we all shared the one huge piece of birthday cake.

Our campsite was right by the St. Mary River, with gorgeous views of the Glacier NP mountains on the other side.  The campground even put on a spectacular fire works show....at 10:45 at night!  It didn't get dark until then because we were so far north and on the western edge of MST.

It was pretty cold by that time of night, so Ami snuggled right in and fell asleep during the show.

Happy Birthday America, and Happy Birthday to my wonderful "twin" sister, Jennifer.  I love you and am thankful for each year of life that we have together.  You inspire me with your dedicated service to Him.  I love you!
