A Good Distraction

All of the kids love Christmas, but Benjamin gets the giddiest of all.  He's been begging to get out the Christmas decorations, so yesterday we finished up school and chores and brought down the boxes from the attic.  Christmas music was blaring, stockings were hung, hats were donned, and hot chocolate with candy canes was the treat of choice.  We have to wait a bit get our tree so that it doesn't dry out, but it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here.  Good times for sore hearts.

Short update on Benjamin....surgery here has been cancelled.  The doc is sending us to STL to meet with a orthopaedic oncologist that specializes in these kind of tumors.  We hope to be there next week and have surgery scheduled there shortly after our initial consultation.  The tumor is right next to, possibly on, a major nerve, so there is a bit more concern as to the delicate nature of such surgery.  Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement and your prayers.
