Friends

When we moved to Columbia almost nineteen years ago, we really had no idea what was in store for us.  Chris and I were barely married a year and came out here with no jobs, no place to live, just following where God had led (and probably with a bit of youthful ignorance, too!).

We quickly found a church family, and although we have been at a few churches in these nineteen years, those friends from our first church have remained with us.  We have watched our families grow together and have seen the friendships of our children form.  We are richly blessed!

Friday night we had dinner at a friend's house and the kids (big and small!) enjoyed trying out the zip lines across their pond.  One was short and the other steeper and longer.  When we met this family they had just had their fourth child, now they are expecting number twelve!

Today we had three of our friend's children over to play.  The three younger girls had a whole town drawn out on the driveway before the rain washed it away, while the three older ones played cards.  Ami was making cinnamon rolls  :)
