We cheered loudly for our knight in blue. Johanna even received a flower from him!
The pageantry and show was spectacular. The kids were on the edge of their seats the whole two hours. The horses were beautiful. The food was delicious (all eaten without utensils). It was the best part of our day!
After MT we headed to Legoland Discovery Center. Again, they have a handful of homeschool discount days throughout the year, and guess what? Yep, today! What a blessing.
The kids worked in teams to build tall towers. Then they were put to the test on an earth shaker.
Indiana Jones:
There was an amazing display of part of the Chicago skyline and other famous buildings. Of course there were all sorts of little details that were incredible. All Legos!
We got to watch a short 4-D movie. The fourth dimension was wind on our faces, and rain/snow showers. :)
Because I was such a good girl (ha!), I got to take the kids to IKEA and Trader Joe's at the end of our day. Two stores that I love, but hardly ever get to set foot in.
We got "home" shortly after Chris did. He had no problems making his way into city center on the L train and then back home. Something different for us all today! The kids are all tired tonight, so we're hitting the beds early so we can get up and head out on new adventures tomorrow.
