Disney World - Epcot Day 1

Today was another very long day, but one filled with lots of fun and adventure.  For one, I got to visit all of my favorite places...I flew all over California (Lake Tahoe and Yosemite), and visited Japan, China, and England, France and Italy.  It doesn't get much better than that!

Again, I'm not sure the older two thought they'd enjoy Epcot as much as they did.  There was much to see, hear, feel, taste, touch, and enjoy.  A whole bunch of it was educational to boot, but don't tell them that. 

After breakfast and drinking hot chocolate in the sun, we headed to the park. 

The Epcot sphere looks big, but when you get up close to it, the size is even more impressive.  Very neat!

The first ride we went on was Soarin'.  WOW!  We all loved it and did it again a second time in a row before the line got too long.  It's been great that Ami is just tall enough to go on most of the rides.  Given time, this is another ride we'd do over and over.  We flew all over California, over many places that we know well and love.  AWESOME ride!  :)

Back down memory lane again.  Chris and I both remember this ride from a "few" years ago.  They temporarily brought back Captain EO in honor of Michael Jackson.  A favorite quote of Chris' and mine, "We're going in!"  (Said in a very nice MJ voice!)

Epcot has a spring garden festival going on.  The gardening and flowers are just too amazing for words.  It's a feast for the eyes everywhere you go, not to mention the wonderful floral scents, too.

As we entered each of the countries, you really felt like you were on location.  The smells and sights were perfect.  From smelling the chippy (fish and chips) in England to sauerkraut in Germany....ahh, I could have eaten all day.  :)

Of course, Pooh, Tigger, Alice, and Mary Poppins were all in England.

We all went crazy in the Japanese snack shop and Michaela and I did our best peace poses.

This is what Chris did much of the time we waited in lines for autographs.

We stayed for the final fireworks show over the lake.  Again, spectacular!  It was well worth the long day in the park.

At the end of our third day, the kids are still going strong.  I have been so pleased with their attitudes and behavior after early mornings, late nights, LOTS of stimulation, and LOTS of walking.  We know it's a privilege to be here and we're taking it all in.
