Today's Entertainment.....

First of all, poor Ami has spent most of the day on the couch.  She's feverish and feeling pretty lethargic.  Her form of entertainment today was screen time.  She also had some siblings feeling pretty sorry for her.  She got her nails painted by Michaela, a new toy from Johanna, soda from Benjamin, and a lollipop from Daddy.  This morning she was at her wimpiest and said, "Mom, you know what would cheer me up?  Some ice cream."  Aww, I would have brought some home this afternoon, but.....keep reading to find out what happened.

So I was with Benjamin and Johanna this afternoon at our local Wally World, and after getting most of my shopping done we got kicked out!  They announced over the speakers that they were closing and that everyone needed to head to the registers.  This was at three in the afternoon!  There was so much snow on the roof that they were closing as a precaution.  One of their other stores in town had already been closed due to roof leaks.  They were getting crews onto the roofs to clear the load. I'm telling you, we have a LOT of snow around here and this last round was a very wet snow.  We kept having flurries throughout the day today, but we hope it's tapering off now.  Crazy!

Much to Benjamin's relief, he was able to get his shopping done before getting the boot.  His big purchase today was a bottle of clear glue (and the soda).  He mixed the glue and Borax to make a lovely goop that would satisfy any young teenage boy's sense of humor.  Yes, our evening entertainment.

It's been so funny to watch the deer travel through our yard.  With the deep snow, they step, sink, step, sink.  Poor things look like they are walking on injured legs, but it's just the crazy snow pack.  This doe and I had a stare down for quite a while as she just kept watching me watch her through the kitchen window.

So there you have it, an entertaining day for the easily entertained.  :)
