Across the Pacific

Our flight from LA to Beijing was pretty uneventful.  It was 13 hours long, and of course it's hard to get much sleep in an economy seat so none of us slept all that much.  The kids enjoyed each having their own screen complete with movies, TV shows, music, and e-books to select from.  The food....not so great.  The best food was our trail mix and goldfish crackers packed from home!

By the time we arrived in Beijing we had a bit of a second wind....or was that a third wind....or fourth wind?  Of course we only got to be in the airport, and gaze out at the terribly smoggy skyline, but it was neat to have a short 3 hour layover in a country very special to us.  Elle and Zane, we thought of you, and got some special treats from China for you!  :)

We all enjoyed Starbucks and were anxious to get on with the last leg of our trip from Beijing to Osaka.  Just a three hour flight and we would be hugging Grandpa and Grandma!
