Johanna Turns Eleven

It has been a fun day!  It's great to be able to focus on one child and make them feel extra special for a day.  Johanna said she hardly slept last night and was up and all ready to go by about 6:15am!  She had to wait about an hour for breakfast (chosen Monkey Bread) and gifts, but she was all smiles.

Johanna had the privilege of a VERY easy day of school.  The girls have a Tuesday afternoon home school group activity and then Johanna had band, so she got to see several friends today.  Just before supper our two sweet neighbor girls came over with a gift and then Grandpa Hires arrived for birthday dinner (Mrs. was out of town).  Because of the busy activities Johanna chose to have her birthday lunch with Daddy and Mommy tomorrow.  But for dinner she enjoyed her chosen meal of rigatoni, green salad, and fruit salad.  Birthday cake was angel food with cherry frosting and coconut on top.  :)

We thought Johanna was to be our last child.  We prayed for her and were ever so thankful for the gift that she was to us eleven years ago.  She was a sweet baby, has always been a snuggler, and has always been a lover of animals.  She was our first child to accept Jesus as her Savior and shows a spiritual maturity to match.  Her easy going and joyful personality is a blessing to our family.  We love you, Johanna, and can't wait to see what the future holds for you!
